American Red Cross Month- March 14th

Even though National American Red Cross Month will come to and end after the month of March is over, for today's fact, I wanted to provide you with a thought to keep in your mind year round. As you and I go on about our normal, everyday lives, there are people across the nation who are in need of blood transfusions. So exactly how many people each day require a blood donation? The answer is astounding. On average, there are more than 38,000 blood donations utilized daily. That's most likely 38,000 different blood donors who all gave the gift of life through a pint of blood. The people who require the donations are from all different walks of life and could be mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, friends, you name it. You never know who may need a blood donation or when. It's up to you and I to be gift givers, enabling these people to live to see tomorrow and be able to live their live to the fullest. Isn't that an amazing thing? We have the ability to give the gift of life. Why not use it?
